 Sea Change by Aimee Friedman

official resume :Sixteen-year-old Miranda Merchant is great at science--and not so great with boys. After a major drama with her boyfriend and (now ex) best friend, she is happy to spend the summer on small, mysterious Selkie Island, helping her mother sort out her late grandmother's estate. Then, Miranda finds new friends and an island with a mysterious, mystical history, presenting her with facts that her logical, scientific mind can't make sense of. She also meets Leo, who challenges everything she thought she knew about boys, friendship...and reality. Is Leo hiding something? Or is he something she could've never imagined? my resume:
miranda is a very rational so when she is sent to selkie island  and stuff start to get weird she has to  make sens of every thing going on (but the story is much more complex than that)

Sea change was a griping book filled with romance i loved how the town had it`s mysteries but it wasn`t ones that make you say come on get to the point the secrets add to the plot and though you do want to know what this secret is you can still read on calmly whitout it bugging you there was all the elements of a fantasy present for a ya novel most probably derected to girls hot guys, mysterie magic both unreal an real(as in the magic of love....i know kinda cheesy but still it`s true)and rivals once i finished this book the first thing that popped in my mind was no there has to be a sequel so you know by that that it was a teriific book another fact that i found really interesting was that the island was seperated in two parts not only in the mental sense as in there was a invisible line but in the physical sense too there were different categories kind of like royalty and peasants .

I really liked how the author made us discover the character and how she made the character understand herself so she found out who she really was and her beliefs in life at the same time we did it makes it better to follow the story and really makes you feel for the characters

to conclude a good book 4-stars on 5 a must read and if your a fan of romance ,the paranormal, and life in general you will devour this book

good reading

Maya :)
